Cannes 2025: After Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa Heads to the Film Festival With a Special Person – His Mom
The Homebound team is all set for the Cannes Film Festival 2025. Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter have already left for the big event, and now actor Vishal Jethwa was spotted at the Mumbai airport as he also headed out—this time with someone very special by his side: his mother.
On the night of May 18, 2025, Vishal was seen at the airport, smiling and chatting with the paparazzi. Excitedly, he told them, “Do you know? We’re going to Cannes—me and my mom!”
He shared how much it meant to him to have his mother with him. “It’s a big deal for me. Going alone is one thing, but going with your mom is something really special,” he said.
Vishal looked happy and emotional, adding, “I’m very happy to go to Cannes, but I’m even more excited because I’m going with my mom.” He gave her a sweet hug at the airport and thanked the photographers warmly.
He wore a black T-shirt and pants with a brown jacket as he got ready for his journey.
Homebound, starring Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Vishal Jethwa, has been selected in the Un Certain Regard section at the 78th Cannes Film Festival. The cast and crew had earlier shared their happiness about this achievement. The film is written and directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra.
Homebound will have its premiere on May 21 at Cannes.
