When Justin Bieber Was Punched by Orlando Bloom Over Cheating Rumors—And Leonardo DiCaprio Was There Cheering
Back in July 2014, a shocking incident made headlines around the world. Actor Orlando Bloom and singer Justin Bieber reportedly got into a fight at a restaurant in Ibiza, Spain—and things got physical.
The fight happened at Cipriani, a popular spot that was packed with celebrities that night. According to TMZ, Orlando Bloom tried to punch Bieber after a heated exchange. Though the punch itself wasn’t caught on video, witnesses said the two had to be pulled apart by others nearby.
What Started the Fight?
Sources say the fight started when Orlando refused to shake Justin’s hand. Bieber may have made a comment about Bloom’s ex-wife, supermodel Miranda Kerr. This seemed to upset Bloom, and the situation quickly escalated.
At that time, Bloom had recently split from Miranda Kerr. They had been married since 2010 but separated in 2012. Around the same time, rumors had spread that Bieber and Kerr had gotten close at the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, where she was a model and he performed.
There were reports that the two were seen talking backstage and later at the afterparty. Miranda and her lawyer denied anything romantic happened. However, people continued to gossip, especially after Bieber posted a bikini photo of Miranda on his social media right after the Ibiza incident. The post was later deleted, but it added fuel to the fire.
Leonardo DiCaprio Was There—And Cheered?
A day after the incident, former Spanish journalist Anastasia Skolkova told The Mirror that Leonardo DiCaprio was also at the restaurant—and he didn’t stay silent. He was reportedly sitting at Bloom’s table and cheered when the punch was thrown.
“It was like a show. Everyone stood up to watch and started clapping,” Skolkova said. “DiCaprio was going wild.” TMZ also reported that people applauded when Bloom tried to hit Bieber.
Allegedly, things got worse when Bieber said, “She was good,” referring to Miranda Kerr. That comment is believed to have triggered Bloom’s reaction.
More Drama After the Fight
After the fight, Bieber seemed to mock Bloom on social media. He posted a photo of Bloom looking emotional and then tweeted, “Keeping it positive.” Both posts were deleted later.
Interestingly, that same year, Bloom was seen hanging out with Bieber’s ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez. The two were spotted together at events and even at a Las Vegas nightclub, which led to more headlines.
Now, years later, all of them have moved on. Justin is married to model Hailey Bieber. Orlando Bloom is engaged to singer Katy Perry. In a surprising twist, Perry even attended Justin and Hailey’s wedding in 2019—though Bloom did not, which made some wonder if old tensions still remain.
