Mohanlal Turns 65: Big Update on His Biography Mukharagam
Today, May 21, 2025, superstar Mohanlal celebrates his 65th birthday. To mark the special day, he shared a big update about his upcoming biography Mukharagam.
In a video shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Mohanlal thanked his fans and shared the latest news about his biography, which has been in the works since 2019. He revealed that the book will be released on December 25, 2025.
In the video, Mohanlal said,
“Dear friends, I’m very happy to share this with you on my birthday. My life story, written by Bhanu Prakash, will be published by Mathrubhumi Books. The title Mukharagam was given by the much-loved Malayalam writer, MT Vasudevan Nair.”
He added,
“The book talks about different parts of my life over the last 47 years. Bhanu Prakash has worked hard to turn my life into words. It will be out on December 25, 2025.”
For those who don’t know, Mohanlal first announced the book Mukharagam back in 2019, on his 59th birthday. The biography is expected to cover his 40+ year-long acting career, as well as personal stories and experiences that have never been shared before. Fans can also expect some heartfelt and personal moments in the book.
Recent Success
Mohanlal is also enjoying huge success with his recent films L2: Empuraan and Thudarum. Both movies were big hits at the box office and added to his already legendary fame.
To celebrate the success, the actor recently hosted a small party at his office with his producers. Photos from the celebration went viral, showing Mohanlal cutting a unique cake decorated with cartoon versions of his movie characters Benz and Stephen.
What’s Next?
Mohanlal has just finished shooting for his upcoming film Hridayapoorvam. He also has another film coming up with stars Mammootty and Nayanthara, along with a special appearance in Vishnu Manchu’s movie Kannappa.
