EXCLUSIVE: Bigg Boss 19 to Run Longer Than Usual – Over 4 Months! Get the Full Details
Bigg Boss fans, get ready for a big twist! The upcoming season, Bigg Boss 19, is breaking its usual rule. Instead of the usual 3-month run, this season will last almost 5.5 months, making it the longest season ever in the show’s history.
The much-loved Salman Khan is returning as the host once again. Fans can also expect to see many new contestants this time.
According to exclusive information from Pinkvilla, Bigg Boss 19 will premiere on July 30, 2025, and continue until January 2026. Salman Khan, who is now 59, is expected to shoot the promo for the season by the end of June 2025. That’s why the show is starting earlier than usual.
Normally, Bigg Boss starts around September or October, but this time it’s starting in July to make room for the longer season.
Another big update: There will be no Bigg Boss OTT this year. In the past, the show also had a shorter online version that aired on JioCinema for about 1.5 months.
Here’s a quick recap of the OTT seasons:
- Season 1: Hosted by Karan Johar, won by Divya Agarwal
- Season 2: Hosted by Salman Khan, winner was Elvish Yadav
- Season 3: Anil Kapoor stepped in as host, and Sana Makbul won the season. Her fights with Ranvir Shorey and bond with rapper Naezy grabbed headlines.
Recently, fans were worried after hearing rumors about internal issues at Endemol Shine India (Banijay Asia), the company that produces both Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi. But now it’s confirmed—Bigg Boss 19 will go on as planned.
This season also marks Salman Khan’s 16th time as host. Audiences love his way of handling the show, especially during Weekend Ka Vaar, where he talks about all the week’s drama and gives contestants a reality check.
With a longer season, an early start, and Salman Khan returning, Bigg Boss 19 is set to be more exciting than ever!
