Dipika Kakar Health Update: Shoaib Ibrahim Shares About Her Tumor Surgery
TV actress Dipika Kakar has been going through health issues recently. Her husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim, shared that she was diagnosed with a tumor in her left liver. While the couple was preparing for her surgery, Dipika suddenly got a high fever and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Now, Shoaib has updated fans that Dipika is back home and her fever is under control. He also shared that if everything goes well, her tumor surgery may take place next week.
Shoaib posted a note on Instagram saying:
“To update you all about Dipika’s health—her fever is under control, and she is back home. If all goes as planned, her surgery is likely next week. Please keep her in your prayers. Also, as many of you know, my sister Saba and her husband Khalid have been blessed with a baby boy. Please shower your blessings on the baby and Saba!”
What Happened Earlier?
On May 16, Shoaib had posted a vlog revealing that Dipika has a tennis ball-sized tumor in her left liver. Doctors are still running tests to check if the tumor is cancerous. While they were preparing for the surgery, Dipika suddenly fell ill with a high fever of 103.9°F and was admitted to the hospital. On May 21, she had a PET scan done as part of the medical process.
A Bit of Good News
Even as Dipika and Shoaib are going through a difficult time, there was a happy moment in their family. Shoaib’s sister Saba Ibrahim and her husband Khalid Niaz welcomed a baby boy on May 22. However, Dipika and Shoaib couldn’t be there at the hospital because Dipika was unwell and admitted at the time.
On the Work Front
Dipika and Shoaib became a popular couple on-screen after working together in the hit show Sasural Simar Ka.
