Actor Mukul Dev, known for his strong performances in television and films, has sadly passed away at the age of 54. His sudden death has shocked many in the industry and among his fans. According to reports, Mukul Dev passed away on Friday night, May 23, 2025. His close friends reportedly found out about his death only the next day when they visited his home on Saturday, May 24.

From the early 2000s to 2018, Mukul worked in several hit television shows. He played key characters and became a familiar face on TV. Not only was he an actor, but he also hosted the popular reality show Fear Factor India. Here’s a look back at some of his memorable shows:


Kahin Diyaa Jale Kahin Jiyaa (2001)

In this Sony TV show, Mukul played the lead role of Rohit, opposite actress Prachi Shah. The show aired from May 7 to November 1, 2001.


Kutumb (2001–2003)

Mukul played the role of Abhijat Desai in this much-loved TV drama. The main leads were Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan. The show ran from October 29, 2001, to January 16, 2003.


Gharwali Uparwali (2000–2003)

Mukul starred as Ravi, the male lead, in this fun fantasy-comedy show. He acted alongside well-known names like Ratna Pathak Shah and Sudha Chandran. The show aired on Sony SAB from July 3, 2000, to June 23, 2003.


K. Street Pali Hill (2004–2006)

This thriller series became quite popular. Mukul joined the show as Arindam Keshav, taking over the role from Alyy Khan.


Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan (2002–2009)

This Star Plus hit show starred Juhi Parmar and Hussain Kuwajerwala in lead roles. Mukul played the character Pulkit, and the show became one of the audience’s all-time favorites.


21 Sarfarosh – Saragarhi 1897 (2018)

In this historical drama, Mukul played a negative character named Gul Badshah. His performance was praised by both critics and viewers. The show aired from February 12 to May 11, 2018.


Mukul Dev in Bollywood

Apart from TV, Mukul Dev also had a strong presence in films. He appeared in movies like Jai Ho, Creature 3D, R… Rajkumar, Son of Sardaar, and many more.

For those who don’t know, Mukul was the brother of actor Rahul Dev, who is also well-known in both films and television.
