Last month, Sonu Sood posted on social media urging people to wear seatbelts after his wife was involved in a car accident. But now, an old video of him riding a motorcycle without a helmet has surfaced online and caused a stir.
In the video, the Dabangg actor is seen riding shirtless, wearing just boxers, sunglasses, and designer shoes. Fans quickly pointed out that he wasn’t wearing any safety gear, including a helmet—which is against the law.
The Viral Video
The clip in question was originally shared by Sonu himself on Instagram during the shoot of his directorial debut film, Fateh. In the first part of the video, he is seen riding without a helmet. In the second half, he does put on a helmet, but only for a short while.

Soon after the video went viral, social media users began criticizing Sonu. Many urged him not to set a bad example by riding without a helmet.
One user wrote, “Please wear riding gear and a helmet. You’re such an inspiration—don’t encourage unsafe driving.”
Another said, “A so-called star promoting dangerous behavior like riding without a helmet? Disappointing.”
Police Take Action
The Lahaul & Spiti Police and Himachal Pradesh Police acted quickly after the video gained attention. They reposted the clip on their official X (formerly Twitter) account and said:
“A video allegedly showing a Bollywood actor breaking traffic rules in Lahaul-Spiti is under investigation. Initial info suggests the video is from 2023. Verification is ongoing. Legal action will be taken if rules were violated.”
