Dipika Kakar’s Tumor Removed: Actress Shares Health Update, Shoaib Ibrahim Stays Strong Despite Emotions
TV actress Dipika Kakar, who was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer, recently underwent a 14-hour-long surgery to remove a tumor. Now, Dipika has appeared on camera for the first time after her surgery. She gave a health update and shared how her cough is causing pain near her stitches.
First Appearance After Surgery
Dipika appeared in a YouTube vlog shared by her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim. She looked emotional and grateful for all the love and support.
She said,
“I just want to say thank you from my heart. So many people prayed for me.”
Dipika also shared that even the hospital staff and nurses were very supportive. She added,
“Some came from different places just to say, ‘Ma’am, you’ll be fine.’ Even other patients’ families told me they were praying for me, even though they had their own loved ones to care for. That meant so much.”
Cough Causing Discomfort
While talking about her health, Dipika said she is feeling better and the recovery is going well. However, she mentioned that coughing is putting pressure on her stitches, and it’s painful. She added that she will share more with fans once she feels stronger.
Shoaib Stays Strong
Shoaib Ibrahim, who has been constantly updating fans about Dipika’s health, also got emotional in the video. He shared that Dipika developed a cough two days after coming out of the ICU, and though it was tough, he remained strong.
He also thanked everyone who prayed for her and supported them during this difficult time.
Surgery Details
Shoaib revealed that during the surgery, doctors removed her gallbladder, which had a stone, and also took out a part of her liver where the tumor was found.
When Dipika Announced Her Diagnosis
Dipika Kakar had announced her diagnosis on Instagram last month. She had revealed that she had a tumor the size of a tennis ball in her liver and it was at stage 2.
Now, after the surgery, she is recovering slowly, and her fans are sending her prayers and love.
