Raj Kundra Reacts to Shilpa Shetty’s Heated Argument in Croatia and ‘You Don’t Know Who We Are’ Comment: Calls It ‘Deeply Frustrating’
Actress Shilpa Shetty recently celebrated her 50th birthday with her husband Raj Kundra, sister Shamita Shetty, and other family members in Croatia. But soon after the celebrations, a video went viral showing Shilpa in a heated argument. Now, Raj Kundra has spoken out and shared what really happened.
What Raj Kundra Said
In a chat with Hindustan Times, Raj explained that he had booked a restaurant table a year in advance to celebrate Shilpa’s milestone birthday. But when they arrived, they found that the table had already been given to someone else.
When the family asked about the mistake, they were told to keep quiet. Raj said this made the situation worse and led to an argument.
“As someone who has run restaurants before, I found the way they handled things very upsetting,” Raj said.
“We had our elderly parents, mother-in-law, and 20 guests waiting with us. It was meant to be a special evening, but it became very stressful.”
What Happened in the Viral Video?
The video was reportedly recorded on June 9, 2025, on Hvar Island, Croatia—just a day after Shilpa’s birthday celebration.
An Instagram user who shared the video claimed that Shilpa and Raj got into an argument with a foreigner who was already dining at the restaurant. According to the post, when the woman asked them to lower their voices, Raj allegedly responded, “You don’t know who we are.”
The video doesn’t clearly show the faces of Shilpa, Raj, or their family, but you can hear a voice saying, “Don’t talk to us, we don’t want to hear you.”

Shilpa Shetty was last seen in the 2023 film Sukhee, and she’s now preparing for her next project, KD – The Devil.
Shilpa and Raj got married on November 22, 2009. They have two children: Viaan Raj Kundra, born in 2012, and Samisha Shetty Kundra, who was born via surrogacy in 2020.
