EXCLUSIVE: Will Ajay Devgn or R. Madhavan from Shaitaan Appear in Maa? Kajol Sets the Record Straight
In a recent exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, actress Kajol addressed the rumors that her husband Ajay Devgn or actor R. Madhavan—both stars of Shaitaan—might make special appearances in her upcoming film Maa. The movie, produced by Ajay Devgn, has a mythological horror theme that fans feel could be connected to Shaitaan. This led to a lot of speculation about possible cameos.
But Kajol has now cleared the air.
While promoting Maa, Kajol was asked if audiences might see surprise appearances by Ajay or Madhavan in the film. Laughing, she replied,
“No, no. I wish you had given me that idea earlier. If you’d told me before the shoot started, maybe we could have added them in.”
She continued, “But now it’s too late. The film is almost ready to release. We can’t add something like that now. Hopefully, if you really like the movie, maybe we’ll make Maa 2.”
About the Film Maa
Maa is directed by Vishal Furia and written by Saiwyn Quadras. It’s produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, and Kumar Mangat Pathak, and presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films. The music has been composed by Harsh Upadhyay, Rocky Khanna, and Shiv Malhotra.
Along with Kajol, the film features a powerful cast, including Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, Jitin Gulati, Gopal Singh, Surjyasikha Das, Yaaneea Bharadwaj, Roopkatha Chakraborty, and Kherin Sharma.
This mythological horror thriller is all set to hit theatres on June 27, and will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali.
