Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu, who has been enjoying the success of her recent films Khel Khel Mein and Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, recently shared a fun moment on Instagram. After her husband, Mathias Boe, posted pictures of himself celebrating Independence Day with the Indian flag in Denmark, Taapsee playfully commented that she wants Mathias to “make a reel singing” a special song by the next Independence Day, showing her love for Indian traditions.
Mathias celebrated Independence Day with the Indian delegation in Denmark, posing with the Indian flag and looking sharp in traditional attire, wearing a kurta with white pants. He shared the pictures on Instagram with the caption, “Celebrated the 🇮🇳 Independence Day with the Indian delegation to Denmark. Welcome to Denmark to the new ambassador, Mr. Manish Prabhat, pleasure meeting you.” Taapsee commented on the post, saying, “Now by next Independence Day, you have to make a reel singing our national anthem,” along with a laughing emoji.
Earlier, Taapsee shared a funny story on Raunaq Rajani’s show Relationshit Advice. She recalled how her friends were worried when she told them she planned to meet Mathias Boe in Dubai. They were concerned about her meeting someone from another culture and even joked that Mathias might “sell” her to a Sheikh. Taapsee humorously remembered, “My friends were like, ‘You take care of yourself.’ They said, ‘Don’t let him sell you.’ I’m not kidding.”
She added that her friends were so worried that her best friend’s sister, who lives in Dubai, gave her contact details just in case something went wrong. Taapsee joked that it wasn’t likely her friend’s sister could actually stop anything if things went south.
Taapsee is happily married to Danish badminton player Mathias Boe. After being together for over a decade, the couple tied the knot in March 2024.
On the work front, Taapsee’s movie Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, the sequel to Haseen Dillruba, was released on Netflix on August 9, 2024. Directed by Jayprad Desai, the film also stars Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal. She reunited with Akshay Kumar, her co-star from Mission Mangal, in Khel Khel Mein, which features Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal. The movie was released in theaters on Independence Day. Up next, she will appear in Woh Ladki Hain Kahaan.
