Suman Indori Promo: Devika’s Pride Gets a Reality Check from Suman

Anita Hassanandani and Ashnoor Kaur are making a comeback to television with their new show Suman Indori. After a long break, both stars are set to return to the screen, and fans are excited. The makers recently released a new promo that gives a glimpse into the story and the dynamic between the two main characters.

In the latest promo, we see Devika, played by Anita Hassanandani, driving a car and accidentally ruining the clothes of Suman’s sister. When Suman, played by Ashnoor Kaur, confronts Devika, she dismissively says, “You poor people always complain. Here, take this money and buy her some new clothes.”

But Suman doesn’t back down. Instead, she ruins Devika’s clothes in return, hands the money back, and even adds Rs 20 more, saying, “Take this, and here’s Rs 20 from me. This might not cover your saree, but it’ll definitely buy you some detergent.”

The promo also reveals that Suman will marry Zain Imam’s character, making Devika her sister-in-law. During the grih pravesh (housewarming) ritual, the two women exchange intense looks. Devika is determined to get revenge on Suman, but Suman is confident, believing that those with pure intentions have nothing to fear.

The promo is captioned, “Apni tez tarar Jethaani Devika ke guroor ko chakna choor karne aa rahi hai Dabang Devrani Suman,” which means, “The bold sister-in-law Suman is here to shatter Devika’s pride.”

Set in Indore, Suman Indori will showcase Ashnoor as a middle-class girl who sells chaat by the roadside. Anita’s character, Devika, is the authoritative elder daughter-in-law of a wealthy family. She’s used to dominating others and getting her way.

The show is set to premiere on September 6 on Colors TV and will also be available on the Jio Cinema app.
