Devoleena Bhattacharjee Criticizes Lalbaugcha Raja Organizers After Simran Budharup’s Bad Experience
Recently, Kumkum Bhagya actress Simran Budharup shared a troubling experience she had at the famous Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai. She went there to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi, but things went wrong when a female bouncer forcefully took her mother’s phone and treated them poorly. Now, actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee has also spoken out, criticizing the security staff and explaining why she avoids visiting the popular temple.
Devoleena responded to a tweet from a user who shared their neutral feelings after visiting Lalbaugcha Raja. The tweet mentioned that the place felt neither positive nor negative, blaming the commercialization of religious sites and the separation of people based on money or VIP status. The user felt that the true spirit of God was lost when religious places focused more on status.
In her tweet, Devoleena agreed, saying that Lord Ganesha is treated like a celebrity at Lalbaugcha Raja. Although she feels a personal connection with the temple, she chooses not to visit due to these issues.
Simran also took to Instagram to describe her experience. She and her mother had gone to seek blessings, but their visit was ruined by rude staff. She explained that her mother was taking a picture while in line when a man from the organization grabbed her phone. When her mother tried to get it back, he pushed her. Simran stepped in, but the security staff treated her roughly too. When she tried to record what was happening, they attempted to take her phone as well. However, when they realized she was an actress, they backed off.
Both actresses highlighted concerns about how security and the overall environment at Lalbaugcha Raja have become problematic for visitors.
