Death Threats Disrupt Elvish Yadav and Munawar Faruqui’s Cricket Match: Shefali Bagga Shares What Happened
During an ECL 2024 cricket match, Bigg Boss winners Elvish Yadav and Munawar Faruqui faced a shocking crisis when they received death threats. Shefali Bagga, from Bigg Boss 13, revealed the details of this tense situation during an interview.
The two stars were playing at the IG Indoor Stadium in Delhi. Elvish led his team, Haryanvi Hunters (HH), against Munawar’s team, Mumbai Disruptors (MD). The match started off with excitement and fun, but things quickly changed when the death threats emerged.
Shefali Bagga, who was there, explained that at first, everything seemed normal, and the crowd was excited for the match. However, the atmosphere shifted when the threats were discovered. The police immediately stepped in, tightened security, and evacuated the stadium to ensure everyone’s safety.
The game was briefly stopped while the police searched the area with sniffer dogs. After making sure it was safe, the match resumed. Both Elvish and Munawar, along with the other players, cooperated with the police and left the field as directed.
When asked if the threats came from the crowd, Shefali clarified that this wasn’t true. She explained that the audience was full of fans cheering for Elvish and Munawar, and there wasn’t any visible danger from the stands.
Shefali praised the authorities for their quick and effective action, stating that the situation could have been much worse if they hadn’t acted so fast. She also hoped that such incidents would never happen again, saying, “Elvish and Munawar didn’t deserve this.”
Although the investigation is still ongoing, Munawar has been moved to Mumbai for added safety, and authorities are working to find out who made the threats. Neither the ECL management nor Munawar has made an official statement yet.
