Kaun Banega Crorepati 16: Can you answer this 1 Crore Rupees World War I question that stumped a contestant?
In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, a contestant faced a tough question for the 1 crore prize. The contestant, Ujjwal Prajapat from Rajasthan, reached this big milestone but decided to walk away with 50 lakhs instead of taking a risk.
Ujjwal is a smart student preparing for the civil services exam to make his family’s life better. After finishing his Bachelor of Science degree, he started focusing on these exams. He answered many questions confidently on the show but decided to quit when he couldn’t be sure of the answer to the 1 crore question.
The 1 crore question was: “Appearing for India, which ruler of a princely state signed the Treaty of Versailles in 1919 after World War I?”
The options were:
- A. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II
- B. Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan
- C. Nawab Hamidullah Khan
- D. Maharaja Ganga Singh
The correct answer was Maharaja Ganga Singh.
Ujjwal chose the wrong answer, but since he decided to quit before locking it in, he took home 50 lakhs. Amitabh Bachchan explained that Maharaja Ganga Singh was the ruler of Bikaner and the only non-white member of the British Imperial War Cabinet during World War I.
During the episode, Ujjwal also shared that he struggled with the math section in his first attempt at the civil services exam but hasn’t given up. He’s determined to get a government job to support his family.
