The Great Indian Kapil Show 2: Heartbroken Sunil Grover Blames Ranbir Kapoor; Alia Bhatt Can’t Stop Laughing
Sunil Grover recently expressed his heartbreak because of Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt couldn’t stop laughing.
In the premiere episode of “The Great Indian Kapil Show 2,” the cast of the movie “Jigra” – including Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Vedang Raina, and director Vasan Bala – appeared to promote their film. The highlight of the episode was when Sunil Grover, in his funny way, blamed Ranbir Kapoor for his heartbreak.
A clip shared by the show’s creators showed Sunil Grover dressed as his character Dafli, crying dramatically. He wore a saree, held an umbrella, and sang, “Mera dil toot gaya. Tune toda hai. Mera dil toot gaya” (You have broken my heart. My heart is broken). In the background, there was a poster with a broken heart and the word “break” on it.
Sunil then removed all the letters from the banner except “RK,” making it clear that he was talking about Ranbir Kapoor breaking his heart. Alia Bhatt couldn’t stop laughing as Sunil continued his act, even hitting himself in frustration. The show’s caption read, “Dard yahan tak feel hua Dafli” (The pain was felt here, Dafli). Fans loved it, with one commenting, “Kapil is nothing in front of Sunil Sir,” while another said, “Watching this show just because of Sunil Grover.”
Sunil Grover has always been known for his ability to make his fans smile with his comedic acts. His return to The Great Indian Kapil Show 2 proves he’s still a full package of entertainment. Fans have been hooked since season 1, thanks to Archana Puran Singh, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur, and the original host Kapil Sharma.
When Pinkvilla asked Sunil Grover about what people should expect from the new season, he humorously replied, “Why should you expect anything? Why? People are laughing and enjoying it, isn’t that enough?” His funny response made Archana Puran Singh, Sunil Grover, and Kiku Sharda burst into laughter.
In the same chat, Sunil Grover also looked back at special moments from the first season and shared how much hard work goes into preparing every scene. He admitted that it’s not easy to play female characters, especially in front of a live audience on stage.
