In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, a contestant had a tough time with a question about the Mahabharata worth Rs 1.6 lakh. Here’s what happened!
Hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, the show had its first crorepati of the season just a day before. On September 26, Rishi Sharma from Orai, Uttar Pradesh, reached the Rs 1.6 lakh question but decided to quit, taking home Rs 80,000 instead.
The episode started with a round of “Fastest Finger First,” and both Rishi Sharma and Bhawana Rajpurohit qualified. Eventually, Rishi won and took the hot seat.
As Rishi sat on the hot seat, he entertained everyone, including Big B, with his funny stories. But things got serious when he faced this tricky question about the Mahabharata:
“In the Mahabharata, Kampilya served as the capital of which of these kings?”
The options were:
- Shakuni
- Drupada
- Jayadratha
- Karna
The correct answer was Drupada.
Big B asked Rishi to pick an answer just for fun, and Rishi chose the right one! Amitabh Bachchan then commented, “Oh brother, if you had continued, you would’ve been right. Draupadi’s father, King Drupada of Panchala, ruled from Kampilya.”
During the show, Rishi also revealed that his apartment is surrounded by girls’ hostels, which made Amitabh humorously say, “You’re very lucky.”
Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 started on Sony TV on August 12, and Amitabh Bachchan is back as the host. You can catch new episodes every Monday to Friday at 9 PM on Sony TV or stream them on Sony LIV.
