As fans eagerly wait for Bigg Boss 18 with Salman Khan as the host and its exciting “Time Ka Taandav” theme, let’s look back at one memorable moment from Bigg Boss 16. In that season, Tina Datta had a heated argument with Sumbul Touqeer over her “possessive” behavior towards Shalin Bhanot.
In one episode, Shalin Bhanot and MC Stan got into a fight, and Tina tried to calm Shalin down. At the same time, Sumbul took Shalin to another room and didn’t want him to leave. When Tina entered the room to help, Sumbul continued to try to control Shalin’s anger. Tina asked her to relax, but Sumbul refused and even started yelling. Tina eventually left the room, but when Shalin tried to follow her, Sumbul held onto him tightly. Tina, feeling frustrated, asked Shalin, “Why is she so possessive about you?” Shalin, in turn, tried to calm her down, saying, “I’m just trying to settle everything. Don’t react about her.”
In another episode, Salman Khan addressed Sumbul’s behavior. He asked, “What kind of close friendship is this that you won’t let Tina talk to Shalin even for five minutes?” Tina also shared her frustration, saying, “When Shalin goes to the bathroom, Sumbul waits outside.”
Sumbul then broke down and told Salman Khan that she wanted to go home, to which Salman replied, “Then leave, who is stopping you?”
While Shalin Bhanot reached the finals of Bigg Boss 16, Sumbul and Tina were evicted just a few days before the grand finale.
