The Great Indian Kapil Show 2: Jr NTR explains why he can’t call Archana Puran Singh by her name to Kapil Sharma
Jr NTR shared with Kapil Sharma why he cannot address Archana Puran Singh by her full name.
In the upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show 2, the stars of the movie Devara 1—Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan—will be the special guests. Before the episode goes live, the show makers shared a fun promo where Jr NTR explains to Kapil Sharma why he can’t call Archana Puran Singh by her name.
In the promo, Kapil Sharma asks Jr NTR, “Should I teach you a dialogue in Punjabi? Will you say it?” Jr NTR agrees, and Kapil says it will be fun for the Punjabi audience. He tells Jr NTR to look at Archana ji and repeat the dialogue, but Jr NTR suddenly says no. Kapil responds, “I told you before, men are afraid of you.”
Jr NTR then adds, “I can’t even call her Archana ji. For me, she’s always Ms. Briganza.” Kapil jokes back, “You can call her Miss Briganza and say, ‘Whenever I see you, I get scary dreams.'”
For those who don’t know, Archana Puran Singh played the famous role of Miss Briganza in the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji. In the film, she was a college professor who taught English Literature, especially Romeo and Juliet. Her chemistry with Anupam Kher was loved by the audience.
In an earlier interview with Hindustan Times, Archana talked about her connection with Anupam Kher in the movie. She said, “The way Karan allowed me and Anupam to improvise made everything better. We added comedy to our scenes together. As comic actors, Anupam and I created as much as we could, even beyond what Karan wanted. He knew what he needed but also gave us the freedom to experiment.”
Devara, directed by Kortala Siva and starring Jr NTR, is set to hit theaters on September 27.
