In a recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, one of the contestants shared that she doesn’t have a big interest in wearing jewelry. But then, she asked Amitabh if he ever gifts jewelry to his wife, Jaya Bachchan. His reply was so funny that it’ll make you laugh!
In a promo shared by the show’s makers, Amitabh Bachchan was asked by the contestant on the hot seat about giving jewelry to Jaya. He responded, “What jewelry? Yes, I do give it to her. But you’ve asked such a personal question! I hope there’s no one from the Income Tax department here.”
Speaking of KBC 16, there was another recent promo where Aamir Khan talked about his special plans for Amitabh Bachchan’s 82nd birthday. Aamir, along with his son Junaid Khan, is planning to surprise Big B on the show. In the clip, Aamir whispers, “Shhh… Amit ji shouldn’t know that we’re on the show today,” while his son Junaid smiles.
In another moment, Amitabh Bachchan burst out laughing when a contestant asked if he gets enough time to spend with his wife, Jaya. Amitabh and Jaya have been married since 1973 and have been together for over 40 years. The contestant, named Sumitra Dinesh, even complained that Amitabh might not have much time for Jaya because of his busy schedule with KBC.
Big B gave a clever response, saying, “Oh dear, what can I say? These personal questions people ask here really put me in a tough spot!”
