Amitabh Bachchan’s quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 has a loyal fanbase, and its popularity keeps growing. In the October 2 episode, Bachchan sahab made a contestant’s day when the contestant shared how many times they had watched Sholay.
The contestant, Kishor Aher, was seated on the hot seat and faced a question about Ayushmann Khurrana’s movie. The question was:
In which film does Ayushmann Khurrana pretend to be visually challenged?
A- Vicky Donor
B- Andhadhun
C- Article 15
D- Badhaai Ho
The correct answer was Andhadhun.
Kishor wasn’t sure about the answer, so he used a lifeline. He chose the audience poll, and the audience helped him by selecting the right answer. Kishor won Rs 3,000 for this question. Bachchan sahab asked him if he had watched Andhadhun, and Kishor admitted that although he had seen the movie, he couldn’t recall the answer at that moment.
Kishor then shared, “Sholay is my father’s favorite film. When I was a kid, we used to watch it together. I love Sholay—it’s evergreen for us.” After this, both Kishor and the live audience requested Bachchan sahab to say one of his famous dialogues from Sholay. He happily obliged and said, “Tumhara naam kya hai, Basanti?” The audience and Kishor cheered and applauded his performance.
