Veteran Marathi actor Atul Parchure, well-known for his work in the entertainment industry, passed away at the age of 57 after a long battle with cancer. On October 14, 2024, the news of his death came as a shock to many. Atul had been fighting cancer for a long time. Last year, he had overcome the disease and returned to work, but sadly, his health took a turn for the worse.

Marathi actor Jaywant Wadkar, who had known Atul since childhood, spoke about his loss in an interview with ABP Mazha. He revealed that Atul had been preparing for a play called Suryachi Pillay, and they were rehearsing together before Atul was hospitalized five days ago.

Last year, in an interview with a YouTube channel, Atul shared that doctors had found a 5 cm tumor in his liver in 2023.

Atul Parchure was admired for his remarkable acting skills and excellent comic timing. He made a lasting impact on the audience, whether on stage or screen. His contributions to the Marathi film industry were significant, but his talent also shone through in Bollywood and Hindi television.

Atul appeared in many Bollywood films, sharing the screen with big stars like Shah Rukh Khan in Billu, Salman Khan in Partner, and Ajay Devgn in All The Best. He was also a familiar face on Hindi TV, starring in shows like R. K. Laxman Ki Duniya, Comedy Nights with Kapil, Comedy Circus, and Badi Door Se Aaye Hai.

Atul Parchure’s passing leaves behind a legacy of memorable performances in both Marathi and Hindi entertainment.
