Today (October 20) is the special festival of Karwa Chauth, where married women fast for the health and long life of their husbands or partners. Many celebrities also celebrate this day with excitement. Actor Dheeraj Dhoopar, in an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, shared how he and his wife, Vinny Arora, celebrate Karwa Chauth and what it means to them.
Dheeraj said, “Karwa Chauth has always been special for me and my wife. Even though I don’t fast, I make sure to be with her throughout the day and support her in every way I can.” He talked about how the festival shows the strong bond between a couple, adding, “It’s a beautiful tradition, and I believe it’s important to be there for your partner during these meaningful moments.”
Dheeraj also remembered their first Karwa Chauth after marriage. He said, “Our first Karwa Chauth was magical—the love and excitement were in the air. Watching my wife fast for me was an emotional moment, and since then, I’ve always made sure to make the day special for her.”
This year, Dheeraj has something special planned. He shared, “I’ve arranged a surprise for her after the fast. It’s not just about the rituals, but about celebrating our relationship, making memories, and appreciating the love we have.”
For those who don’t know, Dheeraj and Vinny met on the sets of Mata Pitah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg in 2009. After dating for seven years, they got married in 2016. In August 2022, they welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Zayn.
On the work front, Dheeraj is currently playing the role of Subhaan Siddiqui in Rabb Se Hai Dua.
