EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Dalljiet Kaur Talks About Shalin Bhanot Not Reaching Out to Their Son Jaydon Before Her Marriage
In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, actress Dalljiet Kaur opened up about her challenging phase, including her legal battle with estranged husband Nikhil Patel. She also expressed her disappointment with her ex-husband, Shalin Bhanot, for not contacting their son, Jaydon, during this tough time.
Dalljiet shared how she is dealing with her situation and talked about her second marriage with Nikhil. When asked if Shalin, as Jaydon’s father, has offered any support, she said, “The best thing is I don’t need support, which I want to tell Mr. Bhanot. I don’t need your support, but your son deserved a call, and he never got one.”
She further explained that since their divorce, she has always allowed Shalin to meet Jaydon whenever he wanted. “It’s been the same pattern for 9 years. I was always busy as a single mother, but whenever he asked to meet Jaydon, I never said no,” she added.
Dalljiet mentioned that she even introduced Shalin to Nikhil before her marriage because she felt it was the right thing to do. She said, “Shalin knew I was looking for marriage. I wanted it for myself, and I deserved it.”
She had also invited Shalin to visit them in Kenya, saying it would be healthy for Jaydon to have that connection. However, Dalljiet revealed that Shalin never reached out after she returned to India. She said, “Not a single message, let alone a meeting. I don’t want anything from him, but it would have helped Jaydon if Shalin had contacted him.”
Dalljiet referred to Shalin’s statement from Bigg Boss 16, where he said they were “best friends.” She clarified that while they don’t share that kind of relationship, she has always made sure Jaydon meets him whenever Shalin initiates contact.
She concluded by expressing her disappointment, saying she doesn’t understand why Shalin isn’t concerned about Jaydon’s well-being. Despite everything, Dalljiet emphasized that she doesn’t need anyone’s help and will continue to figure things out on her own.
