MTV Hustle 4: Will Raftaar Rap in Malayalam? Here’s What He Says
In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, popular rapper Raftaar, who was born in Trivandrum, Kerala, shared whether he has plans to rap in Malayalam.

MTV Hustle 4 is back, giving aspiring rappers a big stage to show off their skills. Judged by Raftaar and Ikka Singh, the new season has fans excited. Raftaar, who is Malayali, has not yet tried rapping in Malayalam. When asked if he’d ever consider it, Raftaar replied, “I’d love to.”
He added, “I can try a bit, but I don’t really attempt Malayalam rap because I’m not poetic in the language. In Hindi, I know many words for one thing, but in Malayalam, my vocabulary is more basic. My style is full of metaphors, and I love creating them.”
Ikka jumped in to hype Raftaar up, saying, “Raftaar is Malayali, but he rocks Haryanvi rap. He’s amazing!”
