Did Anupamaa’s Paras Kalnawat, Nidhi Shah, and Sudhanshu Pandey Blame Rupali Ganguly for Their Exit?
In a recent interview, former Anupamaa actors Nidhi Shah, Paras Kalnawat, and Sudhanshu Pandey discussed their departures from the popular show. There have been rumors that the lead actress, Rupali Ganguly, was behind the exits of several co-stars, and during their chat, they hinted that working with her was challenging.
Sudhanshu Pandey’s Perspective
Sudhanshu Pandey, who played Vanraj, shared that Anupamaa was his first daily soap. He explained his reasons for leaving, saying, “Anupamaa started when Covid began, and it became a huge hit. But everything has its time, and it was getting harder for me to perform without feeling forced. I worried that my character would become repetitive and bore the audience.”
Nidhi Shah’s Insights
Nidhi Shah, who portrayed Kavya, mentioned the challenges Sudhanshu faced in his role. She revealed that his intense performances affected his physical and mental health, saying, “He was in so much pain that he couldn’t stand properly and had to rest often. At times, he took 5-6 painkillers a day.”
Paras Kalnawat’s Experience
Paras Kalnawat, who played Samar and made headlines for his unexpected exit, said, “I was the first one to leave. I wasn’t sure if I was leaving voluntarily or being pushed out. There’s no official way to exit, so if you leave, it’s usually on bad terms.” He expressed disappointment that his storyline ended abruptly, adding, “If someone has a problem working with me, nobody will ask them questions. I don’t want to name names, but everyone knows who I mean,” indicating it was the lead actress.
Nidhi Shah on Work Environment
Nidhi also shared her experience, saying, “It had become a trigger point. The scenes we received were always written for conflict, and we ended up fighting every day. We were exhausted from arguing and felt like we didn’t want to work together anymore.”
She agreed with Paras, stating that her scenes were cut, and she faced difficulties with her clothes, makeup, and more.
Their Final Thoughts
When asked if working with Rupali Ganguly, who plays Anupamaa, was difficult, Nidhi called her a good actor, which made Sudhanshu laugh. He and Paras joked about the situation, saying, “Who is saying all this?”
Meanwhile, Gaurav Khanna, who played Anuj Kapadia before leaving the show, posted some photos on social media, with a caption that read, “Besides gravity, nothing keeps me down… try harder next time,” which caught the attention of fans.
