TV stars Ankita Lokhande, Divyanka Tripathi, Urvashi Dholakia, and Anita Hassanandani once shared on The Kapil Sharma Show how working in television changed their lives. They opened up about fan encounters that made them realize how famous they had become. Here’s what they said:
How Ankita Lokhande Realized Her Popularity
Ankita shared that she didn’t fully understand how famous she was until she visited the Lalbaugcha Raja temple. At that time, she had been busy with Pavitra Rishta, which was loved by audiences, but she hadn’t had much chance to go out. Her mother would bring her new clothes since she was always on set. One day, Ankita decided to take a taxi to Lalbaugcha Raja. As soon as she stepped out, a crowd gathered around her. People offered to help her with the darshan if she would just take photos with them. Ankita recalled that moment as the time she truly saw the impact of her hard work.
She also remembered another surreal fan experience in South Africa, where people were screaming and crying just to see her. That was when she realized the power of TV fame.
Divyanka Tripathi and Urvashi Dholakia on How TV Changed Their Lives
Divyanka recalled a time in Singapore, back when she was playing Vidya in Banoo Mein Teri Dulhan. She was walking with her elder sister, who was scolding her about her outfit. But once they arrived at a carnival, people started cheering for her as “Vidya.” Her sister was so moved by the reaction that she started crying.
Urvashi Dholakia also shared a story showing TV’s impact. She once arrived at an event and was overwhelmed to see about 25,000 fans waiting just to see her. Nervous, she panicked and went back to her car.
For those who don’t know, Ankita, Divyanka, and Urvashi became household names after starring as Archana, Vidya, and Komolika in their shows Pavitra Rishta, Banoo Mein Teri Dulhan, and Kasautii Zindagii Kay respectively.
