Netizens Criticize The Great Indian Kapil Show After Sunil Grover Teases Triptii Dimri About Bold Scenes with Ranbir Kapoor in Animal
In the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Sunil Grover’s playful comments toward actress Triptii Dimri did not sit well with many viewers. Dressed as his character “Dafli,” Sunil teased Triptii about her intimate scenes with Ranbir Kapoor in the movie Animal. Netflix, which streams Kapil Sharma’s show, shared a clip of the segment on social media, sparking a wave of negative reactions from the audience.
In the video, Dafli, played by Sunil Grover, approaches Triptii Dimri, who starred in Qala, and asks, “You’re the one who acted in Aminal (Animal), right?” When Triptii confirms, he adds, “So you’re the one.” Triptii laughs and replies, “I know what you said about me. I saw it all.” Dafli then goes on to ask, “What you did with Ranbir Kapoor, I hope it was just for the shoot and not real, right?” Triptii chuckles and clarifies that it was just acting.
However, many netizens felt that the joke was inappropriate. Some asked why similar questions weren’t directed at actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, or Ananya Panday. Others noted that Triptii seemed uncomfortable with the line of questioning.
One user commented, “This is a pathetic topic for a comedy show. Are they running out of material?” Another questioned, “Why ask Triptii instead of Ranbir?” A third user wrote, “She’s clearly uncomfortable. Let the woman breathe.”
The show, starring Kapil Sharma, Krushna Abhishek, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, and Archana Puran Singh, has faced similar criticism in the past. In the upcoming episode, guests Sudha Murthy and Narayan Murthy, along with Deepinder and Gia Goyal, will make an appearance.
