Anupamaa Actress Rupali Ganguly Talks About Not Getting Along With a Co-Actor for Two Years
In a recent roundtable discussion, Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly opened up about a time when she didn’t get along with a co-actor for two whole years while filming a show. She was joined by Shivangi Joshi, Samridhii Shukla, Anita Raaj, and Reem Shaikh for the conversation.
The discussion began when the actresses were asked if actors fall in love with each other on set during their first show. Reem Shaikh shared that spending so much time together often creates a bond that lasts a long time, but she also pointed out that not every on-set relationship turns romantic.
When Rupali and Anita teased Reem about giving vague answers, Reem jokingly said, “My mother is watching me, and I have to make sure she still trusts me.” During this chat, Reem also mentioned that sometimes actors don’t get along with their co-actors.
Rupali then admitted, “I shot an entire series for two years without talking to my co-actor, and I was supposed to be obsessed with him.” Although Rupali didn’t name the co-actor, there have been reports suggesting that she didn’t have a great relationship with her Anupamaa co-stars Sudhanshu Pandey and Gaurav Khanna. Although their social media posts often seemed friendly, rumors about their off-screen tensions occasionally surfaced.
Recently, Rupali has also been involved in a controversy. Her stepdaughter, Esha Verma, accused her and her husband, Ashwin Verma, of mental and physical abuse. In response, Rupali has taken legal action and filed a defamation suit against Esha, seeking Rs 50 crore in damages for harming her reputation.
On the work front, Rupali continues to play the lead role in Anupamaa, which recently took a leap. Sudhanshu Pandey left the show in August, and Gaurav Khanna is also absent from the post-leap storyline.
