Bigg Boss 18: Avinash Mishra Criticizes Shalini Passi’s Views on Television
In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 18, popular socialite Shalini Passi entered the house as a guest, creating quite a buzz. Known for her presence on social media, Shalini interacted with the housemates and made some surprising comments that left them shocked. However, her claim that she doesn’t watch TV didn’t sit well with contestant Avinash Mishra, who openly criticized her stance.
Shalini’s Bold Statement
During her chat with the housemates, Avinash asked Shalini if she had been following the current season of Bigg Boss. Shalini casually replied, “Mai television nahi dekhti hun” (I don’t watch TV). She explained that she prefers reading news on apps instead of watching it on television.
Shalini further said, “Mera kaam itna ho jaata hai ki jab television on hota hai na toh mera mind kahin aur chale jaata hai. Mujhe lagta hai ki dusre ke kaam dekhne se, jo bhi thoda bahut apna kar rahi hun woh karu” (I work so much that when the television is on, my mind drifts elsewhere. I feel it’s better to focus on my work instead of watching others).
Avinash Points Out the Irony
Later, Avinash discussed Shalini’s comments with Tajinder Bagga and Vivian Dsena. He questioned why someone who finds television a “waste of time” would come to Bigg Boss, a TV show known for being one of the biggest reality shows in India.
Highlighting the contradiction, Avinash said, “Boli wo television nahi dekhti hai, mere liye wastage of time hai. Iske pehle jo aapne kiya wo TV pe hi kiya tha. Abhi aap yahan aayi hain jo India ka sabse bada reality show jo ki television pe hi aata hai” (She said she doesn’t watch television, it’s a waste of time for her. But everything she has done before this was on TV. And now she’s come to India’s biggest reality show, which airs on TV).
Avinash’s Sarcastic Take
Avinash added a sarcastic remark: “Agar mujhe books padhna wastage of time lagta hai, kya main book store mein jaunga? Agar television dekhna mujhe bakwas lagta hai toh main television pe kyu jaunga?” (If I think reading books is a waste of time, should I go to a bookstore? If I find watching TV useless, then why would I appear on a TV show?).
