Television actress Hina Khan, known for her iconic role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has made it to Google’s list of the top 10 most searched actors of 2024. While this recognition may seem like an achievement, Hina took to social media to express her true feelings about it, especially during a challenging phase of her life.
Hina Shares Her Thoughts
Hina, who is currently battling stage three breast cancer, shared a screenshot of the news on her Instagram story. However, she clarified that this recognition doesn’t bring her joy or pride.
In her heartfelt note, she wrote:
“I see a lot of people sharing stories and congratulating me on this news. But honestly, for me, it’s neither an achievement nor something to feel proud of.”
She further explained her perspective, saying that she hopes no one is ever searched online because of their health struggles or diagnosis.
“I pray that no one is googled because of their health-related hardships. I’ve always appreciated the genuine support and respect people have shown for my journey during these tough times,” she added.
Prefers to Be Recognized for Her Work
Hina made it clear that she would rather be known for her career accomplishments. She said:
“I would rather be googled, known, or acknowledged for my work and achievements, just like I was before and during my diagnosis.”
Hina’s Health Journey
Hina was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in June 2024. Throughout her treatment, she has shared her struggles, including dealing with mucositis, a painful side effect of chemotherapy, and severe neuropathic pain, which made standing for extended periods difficult. Despite these challenges, she continues to keep her fans updated on her journey through social media, inspiring many with her strength and resilience.
