Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Written Update, Dec 16: Poddars React to Armaan and Abhira’s Divorce
In today’s episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the Poddars are shocked when they receive divorce papers from the Goenkas. Abhira has a confrontation with Manish about it.
The episode begins with Ruhi remembering Abhira’s words when she parted with Daksh. Rohit hugs her and tells her that a small injury could have taken Armaan’s life, and he was devastated thinking he might lose his brother. Ruhi feels guilty and says she will never forgive herself for Daksh’s injury.
Abhir and Manish argue over Ruhi and Abhira. Abhira ties Abhir’s shoelaces while thinking about Abhimanyu. Manish asks where she is going, and she says to meet her clients. She tells him that she doesn’t need rest because everything she did was wrong, especially trying to take away someone else’s child. She says Manish should remind her of her wrong actions so she can move on one day. Manish says he can’t bear to see her crying.
Abhira receives a parcel and asks Manish what it contains. Manish tells her it’s for his work.
Armaan talks to Vidya and Kaveri about Abhira being at the hospital. They try to tell him it was his mistake, but Armaan insists on meeting Abhira.
Swarna and Surekha are shocked when they see the divorce papers. They suggest that Armaan and Abhira should decide what’s best for them. Manish says that a divorce is the best option for them. Abhir agrees.
At court, Armaan approaches Abhira to talk. A lawyer taunts Abhira about kidnapping a child, but Armaan defends her.
Rohit receives Armaan’s divorce papers, and the Poddars are angry and shocked. Rohit and Madhav tell them to stay calm and think rationally. Kaveri gets upset and leaves.
Armaan stops Abhira by standing in front of her car, asking her to come back. He says he loves her, but Abhira replies that she trusted him blindly, which hurt her. As she drives away, Vidya steps in front of the car. She says she is upset about Abhira divorcing Armaan and reminds her of their promises. Armaan is shocked and asks Abhira if someone else sent the divorce papers.
Abhira gets into her car and thinks about why Manish did this. At home, she talks to Manish, who tells her she can forgive Armaan as his wife, but as BSP’s mother, she can never forgive him. Armaan tries calling Abhira, but she ignores the call. Manish says she is avoiding Armaan because she is hurt, and Abhir agrees.
Kaveri tells Armaan that Abhira doesn’t want to talk to him and is a bad wife. She tells Armaan to decide what he wants to do next. The episode ends here.
