Gurucharan Singh, known for playing Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been hospitalized due to severe weakness. In a recent interview, Gurucharan’s close friend, Bhakti Soni, shared details about his approach to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Kumarr Modi. On Vickey Lalwani’s YouTube channel, Soni clarified that Gurucharan did not visit Asit to ask for his old role as Sodhi back.
She explained, “Gurucharan told me that he didn’t go there to ask for the Sodhi role because another actor is already playing it. He didn’t want to take someone else’s position.” Instead, he asked for work in the production department, but unfortunately, things didn’t work out.
When asked if Gurucharan’s family was dealing with property disputes, Soni confirmed this as well.
Gurucharan’s Health Update
Gurucharan left Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2020, and since then, Balwinder Suri has taken over the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi. In a recent Instagram video, Gurucharan revealed his worsening health, saying, “My condition has gotten worse.”
The actor has been surviving on liquids since May 2024 and hasn’t eaten solid food for months. Fans are praying for his speedy recovery and hoping to see him back in good health soon.
