Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Written Update, Jan 14: Vidya Gets Out of Jail – Thanks to Abhira or Armaan?
In today’s episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (January 14), Vidya finally gets released from prison. While Abhira helps make it happen, everyone believes Armaan is behind her freedom.
The episode begins with Abhira arriving at the Poddar house and noticing writing on the walls. She expresses regret, saying she never wanted Vidya to suffer in jail. She only wanted justice for Abhir and hoped Vidya would understand her mistakes. Abhir supports her and mentions how Armaan and Abhira have grown distant, even though they haven’t caused any problems. He admits he dislikes Armaan but recognizes his efforts to win Abhira back. He also knows Abhira still cares deeply for Armaan. Abhira hugs Abhir, reassuring him.
At the Poddar household, Kaveri announces they won’t celebrate Makar Sankranti until Vidya returns. Everyone agrees. Rohit mentions that Madhav has gone to Delhi to seek help from an MLA. Sanjay doubts Armaan, saying he is still recovering from his feelings for Abhira and cannot be trusted to secure Vidya’s release.
Abhira tries to approach the police for Vidya’s release, but they ignore her. Meanwhile, Armaan manages to get an appointment with an MLA. When he arrives at the office, the MLA is out picking up his son from school. Abhira, on the other hand, encounters the MLA in a crowd. She notices a child chasing a kite into traffic. Without hesitation, Abhira saves the child. Grateful for her quick action, the MLA offers to help her. Abhira requests him to release Vidya from jail. At the same time, Armaan gets into a heated argument with the MLA’s secretary and is thrown out of the office.
The next morning, Abhira cleans the writing on the Poddar house walls and decorates the area with flowers. Armaan catches a glimpse of her but doesn’t realize it’s her. When the family gathers, they mistakenly thank Armaan for Vidya’s release. Armaan is puzzled but says nothing. Later, Armaan goes to pick Vidya up from prison. Vidya remains silent during the journey home. At the Poddar house, everyone prepares to welcome her warmly. Kaveri asks Vidya to perform the aarti as part of the homecoming ritual.
While performing the aarti, Vidya’s plate slips from her hands. She requests to speak to Armaan in private. Outside, Armaan spots Manish and accuses him and Abhira of plotting to send Vidya back to jail. Manish reveals it was Abhira who secured Vidya’s release.
The episode ends as Vidya asks Armaan for a private conversation, leaving everyone curious about what she has to say.
