Archana Puran Singh Reveals She Used a Fake Appointment Letter to Follow Her Dreams in Mumbai; Shares First Paycheck Story
Archana Puran Singh, famous for her role on The Great Indian Kapil Show, recently shared an inspiring story from her early days in Mumbai through one of her vlogs. The actress, who has started vlogging to give fans a glimpse of her personal life, opened up about her struggles and the excitement of earning her first paycheck.
Starting Her Journey with a Fake Letter
When Archana arrived in Mumbai from Dehradun with a single suitcase and lofty aspirations, she utilized a fictitious appointment letter a friend had gifted her to secure a place to stay. She shared, “I utilized this fictitious letter to secure a place to stay. Every morning after breakfast, I had to leave the house as they mistakenly believed I had a job. Instead, I would go out and attend auditions.”
Her First Job as a Junior Artist
Archana also spoke about her very first acting job. She worked as a junior artist in an ad film starring Om Puri. For this job, she earned Rs 100, and that moment of receiving her first paycheck brought her immense joy. She said, “I was dancing on the streets of Tardeo with happiness when I got that cheque.”
Interestingly, years later, Archana got a chance to work as the heroine in a film where Om Puri was the lead. Unfortunately, the movie was never released.
Archana’s Career and Personal Life
After overcoming her initial challenges, Archana became a popular judge on The Great Indian Kapil Show in 2019, taking over from Navjot Singh Sidhu.
On the personal front, Archana is married to Parmeet Sethi, and the couple has two sons, Aryamann and Ayushmaan. Through her vlogs, fans get a closer look at her journey, struggles, and lighter moments with her family.
