Bigg Boss 18: Salman Khan Opens Up on Personal Struggles

Bigg Boss 18: 5 Times Salman Khan Opened Up About Personal Struggles While Hosting

As Bigg Boss 18 gears up for its grand finale tonight (January 19), let’s look back at moments when Salman Khan shared personal experiences and challenges while hosting the show. Despite facing difficulties, including serious death threats, Salman continued to entertain and guide the contestants.

1. Shooting Amid Death Threats

Salman Khan hosted the initial episodes of Bigg Boss 18 despite receiving death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The threats demanded he either apologize at a Bishnoi community temple or pay ₹5 crore. To ensure his safety, over 60 security personnel accompanied him on set, along with his Y-plus security detail.

During one episode, Salman confessed that he didn’t feel like coming to the show but did so out of commitment. He said, “Nahi aana tha mujhe yahan par, par yeh ek commitment hai. Isiliye mai yahan aaya hu. Yeh mera kaam hai aur mai voh kaam karne aaya hu.” (I didn’t want to come here, but this is a commitment. That’s why I came. This is my work, and I came here to do it.)

Later, he expressed frustration when handling contestant Arfeen Khan’s attitude, saying, “Khuda kasam, what all I am going through in my life, and I have to come and handle this.”

2. Talking About Allegations

When contestant Avinash Mishra was accused of inappropriate behavior without evidence, Salman defended him. He shared that he too had faced false accusations in the past. Salman said, “Mere upar bhi bohot saare lalchan lagaye gaye hai. Mai jaanta hu mere parents kya feel karte hai.” (I have also been accused of many things. I know what my parents go through.)

He explained to the contestants how hurtful false allegations can be, saying, “This is not a third-person experience. This is personal experience.”

3. Recalling His Jail Experience

In a Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman addressed contestants Rajat Dalal and Shehzada Dhami for using their connections as a threat. Salman reflected on his own time in jail, saying, “Yeh Bigg Boss ka ghar hai. Mai yahan bhi aata hu aur jail bhi gaya hu. Mujhe farak pata hai.” (This is Bigg Boss’ house. I come here, and I’ve also been to jail. I know the difference.)

When Rajat admitted he had been to jail multiple times, Salman added, “Mai bhi gaya hu, par bohot lambe tukdo mai.” (I have also been, but for long periods.)

4. Speaking About His Cases

While advising Rajat Dalal, Salman cautioned him about making threats to others. He said, “Mere upar bhi bohot saare cases hai. Mai jaanta hu iska kya asar hota hai.” (I have many cases against me, so I know how it affects life.)

He urged Rajat to focus on his family instead of creating unnecessary conflicts.

5. Reflecting on Past Actions

Salman also shared lessons from his younger days. He recalled apologizing to people for past mistakes, saying, “Humne 17-18 saal ki umar mei sabse maafi maang li thi, ki ‘Jitne jhagde the, hero ban raha hu, chod de bhai.’” (At 17-18, I apologized to everyone, saying, ‘I’m trying to be a hero, let it go.’)

He advised the contestants to maintain good relationships and learn from their mistakes, emphasizing respect for others.

Conclusion

Throughout Bigg Boss 18, Salman Khan used his personal experiences to guide contestants and help them grow. Despite facing immense personal challenges, including threats to his life, he stayed committed to hosting the show. With just a few hours left for the grand finale, fans are eagerly waiting to see how this season concludes.
