Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Actor Gurucharan Singh Breaks Fast with Help from Friend Bhakti Soni
Gurucharan Singh, famous for playing Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been making headlines due to his worsening health. The actor, who was in critical condition, has finally agreed to break his fast after months of refusing food and water.
Health and Recovery Update
Gurucharan had stopped eating solid food since May 2024 after returning home. His close friend, Bhakti Soni, shared an encouraging update about his health, saying he is now willing to eat. This step is a positive sign for his recovery.
Bhakti explained that Gurucharan’s decision to eat came after she secured a deal for him worth ₹13 lakh. This financial support eased some of his burdens and lifted his spirits. She said, “This has given him hope and helped him regain some confidence.”
Challenges and Lack of Support
In an interview with Etimes, Bhakti revealed that Gurucharan had faced severe financial and emotional struggles. She expressed frustration over the lack of support from his colleagues in the industry. “I even helped him with another ₹33 lakh, but no one else came forward to assist him. He was on the brink of collapse, and yet he received no help,” she shared.
Bhakti also mentioned that the publicist team from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah recently contacted her to inquire about Gurucharan’s health but didn’t offer any work or financial help. “He doesn’t need charity; he needs work to feel valued and supported,” she emphasized.
Fasting and Hospitalization
Earlier, Bhakti had revealed shocking details about Gurucharan’s fasting habits. He had even given up drinking water for 19 days, which left him extremely weak and unconscious. This led to his hospitalization.
While Gurucharan’s health is slowly improving, he still needs ongoing care and professional opportunities to rebuild his life.
