Remo Dsouza Visits Maha Kumbh in Disguise Amid Death Threats, Takes a Holy Dip in the Ganga
Famous choreographer and filmmaker Remo Dsouza, known for his outstanding work in Indian dance and cinema, recently visited the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj with his wife. However, his visit made news because of the way he stayed low-key during the sacred event.
On January 26, Remo shared a video on social media showing him dressed in a simple black outfit with his face partially covered by a black shawl. This disguise helped him move through the busy Mela grounds without being recognized. The video shows him walking through the crowd and boarding a boat to reach a quieter spot by the Ganga.

At the Ganga, Remo took a holy dip and sought blessings. In another post, he and his wife were seen meeting Swami Kailashanand Giri Maharaj during their spiritual journey.
Remo shared the video without any caption, letting the visuals do the talking. He simply used hashtags like #harhargange and #mahakumbh2025.
Actors Sudhanshu Pandey and Nikitin Dheer praised Remo’s devotion in the comments. Sudhanshu wrote, “Kya baat hai .. ye aashirwad kai peedhiyon ko ek saath mil Gaya,” while Nikitin commented, “Har har Mahadev.” Fans also admired his spiritual journey.
This visit comes amidst reports of death threats against Remo. A few days ago, it was reported that several celebrities, including Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Remo Dsouza, and Sugandha Mishra, had received threats allegedly from Pakistan.
On the work front, Remo is currently judging the dance reality show India’s Best Dancer vs Super Dancer: Champions ka Tashan. The panel includes Malaika Arora and Geeta Kapur, with Haarsh Limbachiyaa hosting the show. The show airs every Saturday and Sunday at 7 PM.
