Ashneer Grover to Host New Reality Show Rise and Fall, Promises a Game Full of ‘Doglapan’
Ashneer Grover, former Shark Tank India judge, is all set to return to television, but this time as a host. He will be leading an unscripted reality show called Rise and Fall, where contestants will battle for power and position. The teaser for the show was released on January 30.
What is Rise and Fall About?
The teaser, shared by MX Player, gives a glimpse into the show’s unique concept. Ashneer explains the hierarchy of power using a building as a metaphor. He describes how the rich and powerful stay at the top and control everything, while those at the bottom have no choice but to follow orders. However, the game will allow power to shift, giving lower-ranked players a chance to rise.

In the video, Ashneer twists his famous Shark Tank India dialogue and says:
“Lekin kismat ka doglapan mujhse behtar kaun jaanta hai?”
(Who knows the duality of destiny better than me?)
What to Expect from the Show?
- Rise and Fall will feature 16 well-known personalities who will be locked inside a building for 42 days.
- The less powerful contestants will get the chance to replace the rich and climb to the top.
- The show is based on an international format with the same name.
- The tagline of the teaser asks: “Rulers upar, workers neeche. Par kaun banega sabka boss?” (Rulers are on top, workers are below. But who will become everyone’s boss?)

Ashneer Grover’s Journey on TV
Ashneer became a household name after appearing as a judge/investor on Shark Tank India Season 1. His blunt and straightforward style made him popular among viewers. Later, in March 2022, he was removed from his position as Managing Director of BharatPe by the company’s board.
Most recently, he also appeared on Bigg Boss 18, where he shared the stage with Salman Khan. Now, with Rise and Fall, Ashneer is set to bring a high-stakes power game to Indian reality TV.
