Pratiksha Honmukhe Finally Speaks About Her Exit from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Dating Rumors with Shehzada Dhami
Actress Pratiksha Honmukhe gained fame for playing an antagonist in the popular and long-running TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. It was her debut role, but within six months, she was suddenly removed from the show. As soon as the news broke, many speculations started circulating. Some reports claimed she was “unprofessional,” while others said she was removed due to her “rude behavior” with the crew.
Now, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Pratiksha opened up about her termination for the first time. She spoke highly of the show’s producer, Rajan Shahi, expressing gratitude for the opportunity and promising never to disappoint him. She described him as “a nice human being” and said she has moved on from the incident, holding no grudges against anyone.
Pratiksha on Facing Issues with a Director
Pratiksha revealed that she worked with two directors on the show and enjoyed learning from them. However, there was one director on set who did not like her and frequently scolded her.
She shared,
👉 “There’s a thin line between scolding and humiliating. This happened to me, and I used to cry on set every day. I was anxious and scared.”
Everyone on set knew she was struggling, but she decided to ignore the scoldings, thinking it was part of being new in the industry.
Regrets and Challenges on Set
Pratiksha now regrets not complaining about the director to the producer. She admitted that working on the show was stressful, and she once fainted during a dance sequence due to the pressure. She was constantly afraid of being scolded, which made things even harder for her.
She also recalled breaking down in tears when she was terminated without prior notice. The production team called her and Shehzada Dhami to the set—even though they weren’t scheduled to shoot that day—and fired them in front of 100 crew members.

There have been ongoing rumors about Pratiksha dating her former co-star Shehzada Dhami, but she completely denied them. She stated that they were never in a relationship.
She also mentioned that Shehzada supported her when she was struggling on set and taught her a lot.
