Urvashi Dholakia Opens Up About Her Separation at 18: “Locked Myself in a Room for a Month”
Popular TV actress Urvashi Dholakia, best known for playing Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, has had a successful career. But her personal life has not been easy. She got married at just 16 years old and separated two years later, at 18.
Struggles After Separation
In a recent interview with Hauterrfly, Urvashi shared how heartbreaking it was to go through a separation at such a young age. She said,
“There was a time when I locked myself in a room for a month. I didn’t talk to anyone. I needed time to understand what had happened and how to move forward.”
She also recalled how she had no money to raise her children and didn’t want to depend on her parents financially. However, she is deeply grateful for their support during that difficult time.
No Contact With Ex-Husband
Urvashi revealed that her ex-husband has not been in touch with their sons, Sagar and Kshitij, since they were just a year and a half old. She shared that she tried talking to her children about their father, but they clearly told her they didn’t want to know. Respecting their decision, she said,
“I tried telling them many times, but they didn’t want to know. Then, even I forgot about it.”
Urvashi’s Career
Despite personal struggles, Urvashi has had a successful career. She has been part of many hit shows like Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii, Kahiin To Hoga, Chandrakanta, Naagin 6, Pushpa Impossible, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, and more.
