Ranveer Allahbadia Controversy: Apoorva Mukhija Unfollows Everyone Amid India’s Got Latent Row
As the controversy around India’s Got Latent continues, social media star Apoorva Mukhija has taken a shocking step. The influencer, who has 2.9 million followers, has unfollowed everyone on Instagram.
Apoorva Mukhija’s Sudden Social Media Move
Apoorva, also known as The Rebel Kid, has been caught up in the India’s Got Latent controversy ever since she appeared as a guest on the show. Multiple FIRs have been filed against her in different states. Now, amidst the backlash, she has stopped following everyone on Instagram.
Her follower count remains the same, but her following is now at zero. Since the controversy started, she hasn’t posted anything, including reels or photos. Authorities have also banned her from doing any business online.
Why is Apoorva Facing Backlash?
Clips from India’s Got Latent, including those featuring Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Mukhija, are still circulating online. In one particular clip, she made a controversial statement during a discussion on the show.
A contestant joked about vaginas, and Apoorva responded with an explicit remark:
“Kabhi vagina dekhi hain maa se nikalne ke baad, la**e?”*
(Have you ever seen a vagina after coming out of your mother?)
Many found her comment offensive, and she has been heavily criticized for it.
Legal Action and Backlash
Due to such remarks, several inappropriate statements, and explicit jokes made on the show, the National Commission for Women (NCW) issued a summon against Apoorva. However, she failed to attend the hearing.
She has also received death threats and has asked authorities to allow her to attend the hearing virtually. Her lawyer has stated that she will appear once things settle down.
Multiple People Under Investigation
This controversy has led to serious legal trouble for many. Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, and Ashish Chanchlani are being criticized for their participation. Others like Jaspreet Singh, Balraj Ghai, Tushar Poojari, and Saurabh Bothra have also been summoned.
Due to the massive backlash and multiple FIRs, Samay Raina and the show’s makers have removed all episodes of India’s Got Latent from YouTube.
