Shark Tank India 4 Pitcher Calls Herself ‘Future Vineeta Singh’; Talks About Her Experience

On Shark Tank India 4, entrepreneur Rubeina Karachiwalla, founder of Ruby’s Organics, made a bold statement while pitching her clean beauty brand. She introduced her company as the future of organic cosmetics and asked for ₹1 crore in exchange for a 2.5% stake. However, her comments about ingredient transparency and beauty industry practices sparked a debate with Vineeta Singh, a well-known beauty entrepreneur.

Rubeina’s Pitch and Vineeta’s Reaction

During her pitch, Rubeina spoke about harmful ingredients used in beauty products and how brands often mislead customers through marketing. Though she didn’t take any brand names, her words didn’t sit well with Vineeta Singh, who defended the beauty industry.

Vineeta explained that the ingredients Rubeina mentioned are used in very small amounts and are not harmful. She also questioned why Ruby’s Organics had not yet secured an official organic certification if they were truly promoting clean beauty.

Rubeina Expected Some Resistance

After the show, Rubeina admitted she expected some disagreements. “I knew there would be some friction,” she said. However, she clarified that her intention was never to criticize competitors, but rather to raise awareness about mindful ingredient choices.

Despite the heated discussion, Rubeina had good things to say about Vineeta. “She made me feel comfortable within the first two minutes and even helped me negotiate a deal with Kunal,” she revealed.

The Sharks’ Reactions and Final Deal

Most Sharks decided not to invest:

• Aman Gupta was doubtful about the brand’s ability to scale and suggested that Rubeina expand beyond organic beauty, which she refused.
• Namita Thapar and Ritesh Agarwal backed out, citing strong market competition.

However, Kunal Bahl showed interest. To convince him, Rubeina boldly stated, “I’m the future Vineeta.” This caught his attention, and he offered ₹1 crore for 10% equity. After some negotiation, they agreed on 8% equity, valuing Ruby’s Organics at ₹12.5 crore.

Excitement About Working with Kunal

After the show, Rubeina expressed excitement about working with Kunal Bahl, calling him a great mentor. “In just an hour, he had my head exploding with ideas,” she said, looking forward to scaling her business.
