Manoj Kumar Death: Mimoh Chakraborty Shares Heartfelt Tribute, Says His Father Always Respected the Legend
Veteran actor Manoj Kumar, who was loved for his powerful performances and patriotic films, passed away today (April 4) at the age of 87. His death has deeply saddened the entire film industry and his fans.
In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, actor Mimoh Chakraborty (son of Mithun Chakraborty) shared his grief and paid tribute to the late star.
Mimoh, also known as Mahaakshay Chakraborty, spoke about how much he admired Manoj Kumar’s movies. He said,
“I grew up watching his films. I always admired the way he brought dignity and depth to every role. Movies like Upkar, Purab Aur Paschim, and Roti Kapda Aur Makaan were not just films—they had strong messages that touched millions.”
Mimoh added that Manoj Kumar was more than just a great actor.
“I want to remember him as a true legend who used cinema to inspire generations. My father always spoke very highly of him—not only as a brilliant actor but also as a very kind person.”
He also said that Manoj Kumar’s impact was unforgettable:
“His voice, his expressions, his presence—everything about him stayed with you. Though he is no longer with us, the values and stories he gave us will remain forever.”
Mimoh ended by saying,
“Rest in peace, Manoj Kumar sir. You will always be remembered with love and respect.”
According to ANI, Manoj Kumar passed away at 4:03 AM today at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.
Along with Mimoh, actor Sudhanshu Pandey also remembered the late legend and shared his thoughts with Pinkvilla.
