Kumkum Bhagya Star Mugdha Chaphekar and Ravish Desai Announce Separation After 9 Years of Marriage
Popular TV couple Mugdha Chaphekar and Ravish Desai, who have been married for 9 years, have officially announced their separation. Mugdha, known for her role in Kumkum Bhagya, and Ravish decided to part ways after spending almost a decade together.
On April 5, 2025, Ravish shared a heartfelt statement on social media announcing their split. He revealed that they had already separated a year ago. Ravish also turned off the comments on the post and asked fans not to believe in any false news or rumors. He shared that this decision was made after a lot of thought from both sides.
What Ravish Desai Shared
Ravish wrote:
“After much thought and discussion, Mugdha and I decided to part ways as husband and wife and follow our own paths. It’s been over a year now. We have shared a beautiful journey filled with love, friendship, and respect, which will always stay with us.”
He added:
“We kindly request our fans, well-wishers, and the media to support us during this time and respect our privacy. Please do not believe in any false stories. Thank you for all the love and support.”

Their Journey Together
For those who may not know, Ravish and Mugdha met on the sets of the TV show Satrangi Sasural in 2014. They started dating and got engaged on January 30, 2016. The couple tied the knot on December 16, 2016. After 9 years of marriage, they have now gone their separate ways. While Ravish has shared this news publicly, Mugdha has not made any statement yet.
Their Careers
On the work front, Mugdha Chaphekar gained a lot of love and popularity for her role as Prachi in Kumkum Bhagya, where she starred opposite Krishna Kaul. She joined the show in 2019 and became a fan favorite.
Ravish Desai, meanwhile, has worked in many TV shows like Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi—Meri Bhabhi, Satrangi Sasural, and more. He has also appeared in web series like Made In Heaven and Scoop.
