CID Exclusive: Hrishikesh Pandey Talks About ACP Pradyuman’s Exit and Parth Samthaan’s Entry – “It’s Going to Be…”
Actor Hrishikesh Pandey, known for playing Inspector Sachin in the popular show CID, recently spoke to Pinkvilla in an exclusive chat. He opened up about the changes happening in the show—especially about ACP Pradyuman’s exit and Parth Samthaan’s entry as the new ACP.
🔥 Hrishikesh Talks About His Character’s Story
Hrishikesh has been a part of CID since its early seasons and continues to play an important role. In a recent episode, his character Sachin was injured in a bomb blast caused by the villain Barboza.
When asked what’s coming next for Sachin, Hrishikesh said his character is now in a coma, and the makers are still deciding the future track. He added:
“Right now, I can’t say exactly when I’ll return. It may take time, depending on how the story unfolds. As an actor, I can’t make creative decisions.”
🧩 How They Found Out About ACP Pradyuman’s Exit
Hrishikesh shared how the team got to know about ACP Pradyuman’s (Shivaji Satam) track ending. He revealed:
“We were reading the script, and that’s when we were told—this is the story. That’s how we found out.”
He also said that he didn’t know in advance that his own character would go into a coma. The makers usually keep such storylines a secret until the last moment.
👮 Parth Samthaan Joins as ACP Anshuman
Popular actor Parth Samthaan is all set to join the show as ACP Anshuman. Some behind-the-scenes photos of him shooting with Aditya Srivastava (Abhijeet) and Dayanand Shetty (Daya) have gone viral.
When asked if he had met or shot with Parth, Hrishikesh replied:
“No, I haven’t met him. I wasn’t shooting with him. I think Abhijeet and Daya are shooting with him. I don’t know him personally.”

Hrishikesh was also asked if ACP Pradyuman’s exit will affect the show’s popularity. He said it’s hard to predict, but reminded that CID has a loyal audience who loves the show for its strong stories.
He also confirmed that he stays in touch with Shivaji Satam:
“Yes, of course. We were talking just half an hour ago. We spoke yesterday too.”
Hrishikesh added that the team really misses Shivaji Satam on the sets, and there is definitely a sense of emptiness.

When asked if any other major characters are exiting the show, Hrishikesh said:
“Nothing like that.”
He emphasized that the CID cast is like a family and everyone shares a close bond.
