Charu Asopa Responds to Trolls for Selling Clothes Online, Talks About Acting Plans After Leaving Mumbai
TV actress Charu Asopa recently faced online trolling after a video of her selling clothes went viral. In that video, she was seen promoting cotton suits from her brand Charu’s Closet. Some people mocked her, saying she had left Mumbai and was now selling clothes because of financial problems.
Now, Charu has responded to these trolls and shared why she really moved out of Mumbai. She said that her video went viral because people wrongly assumed she was in a financial crisis. In her vlog, she explained,
“That video went viral only because people wrote things like ‘poor Charu is selling suits to survive and is leaving Mumbai because of money problems.’”
Charu clarified that she’s not broke — she just shifted her focus. She said that earlier, her career was everything, but now, her top priority is her daughter, Ziana. Since she’s not currently doing daily soaps and Mumbai is very expensive, she decided to move back to her hometown, Bikaner.
She also made it clear that she hasn’t left acting. Charu said,
“If I get any acting offer in the future, I can easily come back to Mumbai from Bikaner.”
Charu started her acting career back in 2009 and has been part of several TV shows over the years.
Meanwhile, Charu also reacted to comments made by her ex-husband, Rajeev Sen, who questioned her claims about financial struggles. She reposted his Hindustan Times interview on Instagram with a sarcastic caption:
“Wow, that’s beautiful. Whatever I do is always called drama by this man.”
In the interview, Rajeev talked about Charu’s cruise trip where she reportedly paid for everyone. He also mentioned that she is planning to buy a house in Bikaner and continues to shop and travel, as seen in her vlogs.
Rajeev also shared that he hasn’t met their daughter since January because Charu didn’t reply to his messages. While she now says he can meet Ziana anytime, Rajeev feels his efforts are being ignored and that their daughter is the one missing out the most.
