India’s Got Latent Controversy: After Apoorva’s Video, Contestant Ammy Verma Reacts to ‘Hurtful’ Comments – Full Story Here

In February 2025, the reality show India’s Got Latent made headlines for its controversial content, with many accusing it of promoting inappropriate material. Popular creators like Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Samay Raina, and Ashish Chanchlani were at the center of the storm.

Recently, Apoorva Mukhija—also known as The Rebel Kid—shared a video on her YouTube channel. In it, she revealed that a contestant had made some hurtful remarks about her and a friend during the show. She said those comments deeply affected her and pushed her to say certain things that later sparked controversy.

Now, the contestant Ammy Verma (real name Prabhat Verma) has responded. He posted on social media, offering a public apology. He wrote,
“Hey, I want to sincerely apologize for what I said on stage. I now understand that my words were highly inappropriate, disrespectful, and offensive.”

Ammy added that he never meant to hurt anyone and only wanted to add some humor. But he admitted that his intentions don’t change the fact that his words were wrong.
He called it a big mistake and said he has been thinking deeply about it. Going forward, he promised to be more mindful and respectful, especially when speaking in public.
He said, “I truly regret making you uncomfortable and I hope you can forgive me.”

Apoorva’s video quickly went viral. After it was posted, many people online began criticizing Ammy Verma and demanding that he take responsibility for his words.

Meanwhile, a new report from India TV said that the Maharashtra Cyber Cell might take legal action against Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Mukhija.

According to the report, all four creators—Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Ranveer, and Apoorva—were called in for questioning regarding the controversy. However, only Samay and Ashish showed up. Since Ranveer and Apoorva didn’t respond, the Cyber Cell is now considering legal steps against them.
