Celebrity MasterChef Winner Gaurav Khanna Praises Farah Khan in First Video After Winning, Says He’s Scared to Go Home—Here’s Why
The first season of Celebrity MasterChef ended with a grand and emotional finale. The dishes in the last episode were amazing, and the judges, including the famous Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, tasted them all before declaring Gaurav Khanna as the winner. It was truly the biggest moment of the season!
After winning the title, Gaurav shared his feelings in a video and praised the show’s host, Farah Khan. He also made a funny confession—he’s a little scared to go home now, because his wife might expect him to cook more often!
Gaurav’s First Video as Winner
Sony Entertainment Television posted a video on Instagram, showing Gaurav holding his winner’s trophy. In the video, Gaurav says:
“Winner 2025—first ever Celebrity MasterChef! It’s been a wonderful journey. Like Chef Ranveer used to say, this was truly a journey from the ground to the skies. I started by making a dish that wasn’t even eatable, and now I’ve ended with an unbeatable performance. I had said before, once I become unbeatable, I want to become unstoppable.”
He continued by thanking his family and fans:
“I’m really happy. With my family’s blessings, your love, and God’s grace, the trophy is finally coming home. My mom used to tell me when I was a kid, ‘Gaurav, you’re such a stubborn child.’ But today, that same stubbornness helped me win. When I called her and told her that everyone’s saying I won because of it, she was so happy.”
He Praises Farah Khan, Jokes About Cooking at Home
Gaurav also spoke about how much he appreciates Farah Khan as a host. Then he joked about what’s waiting for him at home:
“When I told my wife Akanksha that my stubbornness paid off, she said, ‘Now I’ll have to cook at home!’ So I’m happy, but also a bit scared—I think I’ll be stuck in the kitchen too now! On days when I’m not shooting, I’ll be cooking, just like I did on the show. At least here, Farah ma’am was kind—if the food was bad, she gently removed it using a tissue. But at home? I don’t know how my family will react if it tastes bad!”
Final Results
While Gaurav Khanna was crowned the winner, Nikki Tamboli became the first runner-up, and Tejasswi Prakash was named the second runner-up.
