CID: Parth Samthaan returns to TV after 5 years as ACP Ayushman, shares VIDEO saying, ‘I never thought I…’
Parth Samthaan is back on TV after 5 years, and this time, he’s joining the iconic crime show CID. The actor has stepped into the role of ACP Ayushman, after the character of ACP Pradyuman (played by Shivaji Satam) passed away in the storyline. Parth shared a heartfelt post and video on social media, talking about how special this moment is for him.
On his Instagram, Parth posted a video of his entry scene in CID and wrote,
“Introducing ACP Ayushman in the most iconic, loved, and longest-running show – CID!!!”
He added,
“This show has always been a big part of our childhood and Indian TV. From the famous dialogues to the legendary officers like ACP Pradyuman, Daya, and Abhijeet – this show is truly special. And now, being a part of it feels like a blessing.”
Talking about his return to TV, Parth wrote,
“Coming back to television after 5 years… honestly, I never thought I’d be part of CID. But that’s life – full of surprises. I often end up taking the unplanned route, just like I did with Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan and Kasautii Zindagii Kay. So here begins another exciting journey – let’s solve some cases! #OmNamahShivay”
In the video clip, Parth is introduced as ACP Ayushman. The other CID team members—Abhijeet, Daya, and more—are shown reacting to his entry.

While many are happy to see Parth on the show, some fans are also sad about Shivaji Satam (ACP Pradyuman) leaving. According to a TellyChakkar report, the makers of CID 2 are actually planning to bring Shivaji Satam back. They’ve started preparing for his grand return, though nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
Parth became a household name through his hit show Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan. His last show before CID was Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
